The body is a landscape, everything else is the weather.
When a storm strikes, the resulting aches, pain, and emotional stress can feel overwhelming or unbearable. While we understand, deep inside ourselves, how to survive and heal on our own, it can be easier with the support of a steward. Someone who can attune to your nervous system and whole being, deeply listening to your body’s expressed needs and held tension, and support you in following that path.
I’m here to be your steward,
Hannah Elizabeth Bevens, LMT.

My approach…
Each session includes an additional 10-20 minutes of conversation before and after your session, in order to learn about your unique needs, goals, and the effects you feel after.
If you’re interested in being a recurring client, where we work together over the course of multiple sessions, I’m more than happy to determine a package or monthly price together.

How to schedule…
I believe in providing necessary and supportive services at accessible rates.
By offering a sliding scale, it is my hope that we can create a system of mutual aid.
My base rate for bodywork sessions is $1.50/minute. When someone pays for a session on the lower end of the scale, we are both meeting our basic needs. When someone pays on the higher end of the scale, the added proceeds balance my overall compensation and support me in offering free bodywork at community events.
How I determine my pricing…
Cancellation policy…
I appreciate your time and the unpredictable nature of how life happens.
In the case of schedule conflicts…
If you know in advance that you will need to cancel your appointment, please reach out via email or call as soon as possible with at least 48 hours notice. I am more than happy to reschedule your appointment, for which your original payment can be used.
Regarding refunds…
Cancellations that allow 48 hours notice receive a full refund.
Cancellations that allow 24 hours notice receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations that allow less than 24 hours, as well as missed appointments, forfeit payment.
In the case of illness and emergencies…
If you are feeling unwell or are navigating an emergency, I appreciate your decision to take care and rest, and ask that you call at your earliest convenience. I will be happy to support you with rescheduling or processing a refund when you are ready.
If I am feeling unwell or navigating an emergency, I will call you to reschedule with my earliest availability or for processing a refund.
I believe in the power of place as “the third teacher”.
The way objects in a defined space sit next to and with each other creates an alchemical and functional experience. Much like the many layers of connective tissue within the containment of our own personal forms, or the wabi sabi ordering of wild flora and weather in a field, the studio we work in together is carefully curated with an intention close to my heart: to give permission and support our mutual trust as we explore and address your unique, psychosomatic needs with creativity and meaning.
Drawing upon my professional training as an installation and performance artist working with relational aesthetics and poetry, along with my experience as an educator grounded in the Reggio Emilia approach— I put a significant amount of care and labor into crafting a supportive environment for healing and learning. In the studio, you’ll find natural and historical materials to ground yourself in, storied and second hand objects to inspire creativity and curiosity, and familiar accommodations to securely support your needs.
My studio is your studio, and I look forward to our collaborative explorations in developing a deeper understanding for who you are and how that translates through your tissues and movement.
The studio…
When you arrive…
The studio is located at 62 Main Street in Belfast, Maine. The sidewalk entrance is between the two doorways of Fiddlehead Artisan Supply. Upon walking through the door you’ll find a set of stairs, and you’ll find the door to the Center for New Systems marked with a sign to your immediate left.
