My work is in service to my community and the collective body.

Philosophy and Approach

Everyone is capable and deserving of relief, peace, and a sense of deep meaning from clear understanding.

To support you in your personal growth toward these qualities, I combine my professional training as an artist, educator, and bodyworker in order to provide you with a fully integrated experience in mind and body.

If you are seeking bodywork,

I will bring to you my studied understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology and therapeutic manual techniques, and I will ground this work in the educational and artistic philosophy that healing and learning are one and the same beautiful process.

If you are seeking holistic tutoring,

I will bring to you my patient reverence and vulnerable curiosity to follow the student’s lead, watching a personal curriculum emerge as the way you learn becomes revealed, and I will ground this work in my understanding of the nervous system’s effects on one’s availability for gaining new insights.

If you are seeking community happenings,

I will bring to you a calendar of intimate group events that weave together healing, arts, mindfulness, and connection, and I will ground this work in my trained sensibility for holding space so that others may bravely embrace what comes up in collective process.

If you are seeking mindfulness and meditation,

I will bring to you the guidance of a responsive environment, clear intentions, and gentle instruction, and I will ground this work in my training through therapeutic bodywork, performance art, and integrative educational practices so you are able to stay in the authentically present moment.

If you are seeking handcrafted objects,

I will bring to you my training as a fine artist and craftsperson to create quality, unique objects that physically and aesthetically support your needs in rest, and I will ground this work in my deep passion for beautiful things that work, feel right, and are beautiful in the owner’s sense and appreciation.

If you are seeking The Listening Wall,

I will hear you.

Neuromuscular pain is a psychosomatic experience, and I use a variety of integrated, manual techniques to help bring you whole body relief. These include:

Swedish and Relaxation // Intentional Deep Tissue // Trigger point and Myofascial Release // Assisted Stretching // Guided Meditation

***I have also received introductory training for craniosacral and acupressure, and I look forward to receiving certification for both in the very near future. Please, feel free to ask about where I am in this training and practice.

Holistic Tutoring

Community Happenings

Being fully present in mind, body, and understanding is a practice. This means— we must practice! Not for perfection, but simply to continue shifting back into our personal sense of alignment. Just as our physical body is continuously working to maintain a sense of homeostasis, so are we in our consciousness.

Mindfulness and meditation practices can help strengthen this act of shifting back towards center, and to support you in either creating or continuing a personal practice, I offer these private experiential sessions:

  • Facilitated Meditation

    • 60 minutes spent with introductory discussion and grounding exercises, followed by a 45 minute silent sit, or other form of silent meditation, and ends with brief stretching to re-enter the daily flow.

  • Guided Meditation

    • 60 minutes spent with introductory discussion and grounding exercises, followed by a 45 minute guided sit (guiding style determined day of), and ends with brief stretching to re-enter the daily flow.

  • Guided Meditation with Integrative Bodywork

    • 60 minutes spent with introductory discussion and grounding exercises, followed by a 45 minute reclined meditation with integrated bodywork and guiding instructions for engaging the parasympathetic reaction, and ending with brief stretching to re-enter the daily flow.

  • Curated Rest

    • 75 minutes spent with introductory discussion and grounding exercises, followed by a 45 minute reclined rest with options for ambient sounds, music, or reading, and ending with brief stretching to re-enter the daily flow.

All of these different styles of experiential sessions are open to your collaboration, because your mindfulness practice should feel right for you. Many people have a certain idea in their head about mindfulness and meditation should look like, when in actuality it is simply about finding the path that best suits your presence.

The Listening Wall

In the news…

“I HEAR YOU”

Portland Press Herald,

February 25, 2024

How it works…

Welcome to The Listening Wall

This wall does not keep things out or in.

This wall lets things through.

This wall is a place for freedom.

Behind this wall sits The Listener.

Their only role and objective is to listen to you,

The Speaker.

A few considerations for The Speaker:

  1. Speak freely and without concern.

  2. The Listener does not offer The Speaker any verbal response.

  3. The Listener is a real person, actively listening with trained sensitivity. Please maintain a clear, respectful volume, and give consideration to how The Listener may become mutually responsible in your truths.

Soft supports and cushions are miraculous, therapeutic objects. They support our weight, structure, and can move with us as we do. The meditation stool you use needs to bolster your sitting pose so your mind can be clear and undistracted. The pillows below your knees, waist, or neck hold space where your body doesn’t. The shoulder cushions the bodyworker puts under your shoulders lifts up your scapula and opens your heart.

To support you through the many postures and resting poses you take, I offer handmade, intentional soft objects, such as cushions, eye masks, and bolsters. Pre-designed objects can be found on the “Objects” page.

Handcrafted Objects

If there is a specific object you have in mind and don’t see it in the shop, please reach out! I warmly welcome commissions and collaborations. To do so, you can email, call, or text to get the conversation started.
